If you’re a frequent visitor of Excuse My Reading you already know I am always in for a good thriller.
Lauren North’s The Perfect Betrayal is picked by Penguin Transworld for publishing and it’s going to be out March 2019. Fingers crossed it will arrive NetGalley a bit earlier, so us book bloggers will have a chance to read it before it hits the shelves!
I want to share the blurb with you as it made me excited.
“I thought she was our friend. I thought she was trying to help us.”
After the sudden death of her husband, Tess Clarke is drowning in grief. All she has left is her son, Jamie, and she’ll do anything to protect him – but she’s struggling to cope.
When grief counsellor Shelley knocks on their door, everything changes. Shelley is beautiful, confident and takes control when Tess can’t bear to face the outside world.
But when questions arise over her husband’s death and strange things start to happen, Tess begins to suspect that Shelley may have an ulterior motive. Tess knows she must do everything she can to keep Jamie safe – but who can she trust?
I love domestic thrillers full of mystery and suspense and The Perfect Betrayal sounds like a good one. I am looking forward to read this and try to solve who betrayed who! A little bird also told me the author, Lauran North studied psychology so I am even more intrigued about this novel 🙂
So, dear readers, mystery fans and thriller devourers, suspense addicts and bookish drama seekers, do you like this cover?
It’s available for pre-ordering at Amazon, here, if you fancy!
