The Wife Between Us is a tense thriller that has a few shocking reveals for the reader, although I have guessed most of it I still thoroughly enjoyed reading it and especially in the last quarter of the book I was on the edge of my seat as the atmosphere was so tense between the characters.
The story is told between Vanessa and Nellie. Vanessa’s husband Richard just left her and she’s trying to put the pieces of her shattered life together. She is depressed, on the verge of being an alcoholic, staying with her aunt and trying to not to get fired from her new job. Nellie on the other hand, just fell in love with Richard and preparing to get married. Two woman is linked by Richard- but is everything as it seems? Why did Richard leave Vanessa? Is he really who it seems? Is Vanessa really who she seems? Is she the nightmare ex-wife or a woman who has been betrayed? As we read more about them we’ll discover the answers and there are a few shockers!

I can’t say more, as I don’t want to reveal too much and spoil it for you. I read this book nearly in one sitting as it was really unputdownable. There were things I didn’t like in the plot, but I think altogether it was structured very cleverly.
